The Economist have today reported on Eight19's "novel" pay-as-you-go solar system IndiGo. The article called "Starting from Scratch", refers to the 'Energy Escalator' approach to a steady and affordable increase in energy supply by the user.
The article says "if the idea works, solar power will have a whole, new set of customers and the days of the paraffin lamp may be numbered".
